National Neurological Alliance

National Alliance

At a national level the Neurological Alliance is the umbrella group of brain and spine third sector organisations in England. Started in June 1994, the Alliance campaigns for better standards of care for all people in England living with a neurological condition. It works to influence national policy particularly the National Service Framework (NSF) for Long Term Conditions. For more information, go to www.neural.org.uk.

National Service Framework for Long Term Conditions

framework

The National Service Framework for Long Term Conditions (NSF LTC) was published in March 2005 with a 10-year implementation period. It sets 11 quality requirements to improve treatment, care and support from diagnosis to the end of life for people with neurological conditions. It underlines the need for appropriate, integrated services planned and delivered around individual needs, and to support people to live independently with good quality of life.
